Les CIRES (2015).

Profitant, encore une fois, de l’incroyable collection d’objets étranges de mon ami Hervé Bohnert, j’ai eu la chance qu’il me confie de superbes têtes en cire anciennes car je désirais transposer leur image sur ce miroir d’argent qui caractérise la technique du Daguerréotype.
A mon avis, une parfaite adéquation entre ce médium photographique à forte consonance  mystérieuse et alchimique, et ces regards figés dans une matière artificielle, usée par le temps. En quelque sorte, des reflets de faux visages sur une apparence de miroirs…

Once again I made the most of the incredible collection of strange objects belonging to my friend Hervé Bohnert. I was lucky in that he entrusted me with several magnificent old heads made of wax, because I wanted to transpose their images onto a silver-covered mirror characterizing the Daguerreotype technique.
In my view the result was a perfect comparison between this photographic medium, with strong overtones of mystery and alchemy and those faces, set in an artificial substance eroded with time. In other words reflections of false faces in apparent mirrors.
